This lady is a scam artist! I have filed complaints with the BBB as well as the Labor board.. she talks fast and is a liar. That woman empowerment act is just what it is an ACT! I worked for this lady during one summer and she completely played with me as the money she claimed she was going to pay me. If you can, please find someone else she is NOT trustworthy and not to be trusted around ANY legal documents or funds that she needs to pay out! Everybody is NOT lying on this woman, a horrible lying scammer!

To take someone’s personal information and claim that you’re gonna do theirs taxes and then they never hear from you again not even so much as a call to say you’re not doing taxes or an email anymore is bad business I would never refer my worst enemy to this company or Miss Shantel. We get that life happens but that was months ago and now you know what it is so you could at least have the decency to call your clients back that’s been calling you for months . Terrible, would not trust or recommend

It’s my first time using The Firm ALP.. things started out well in the beginning, communication was great until I got a letter from IRS stating they need proof of an college education credit that was use for my 10year old child. I reported the issue back and it was never resolved after numerous calls and unanswered emails. I was initially ghosted after I expressed my displeasure and I never received my refund.

I had a terrible experience with The Firm ALP. Despite the IRS portal showing my refund was sent on May 17th, 2024, I never received it. Shantel, the owner, initially blamed the bank, giving me the runaround for a month. Only after involving my attorney did she admit the funds were sent to the wrong account due to their error. I understand that mistakes can happen—we are all human—but integrity is key. As a business and as human beings, if you make a mistake, fix it promptly and don’t play with people’s livelihoods. I eventually received part of my return after weeks of hassle, but I am still waiting for the remaining amount. As a single mother, this has caused significant stress. I regret recommending this company to my family. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and will be moving forward with filing a police report.

Loved Shantels attention to detail .She was thorough in reviewing elements of my case and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each recommendation provided. From tax preparation to business development assistance qualiity and efficiency are top tier
It’s incredibly disheartening to have to come back and amend my review. Things really started out very well with Shantel . However despite multiple attempts to communicate regarding the status of my amended return that was submitted in February 2024 , here we are at November 2024 which no record of the amended return being submitted to the IRS. I have asked numerous times for record or the details submitted . Shantel has definitely been going through a tough time but poor communication and lack of accountability erode customer confidence .At the very least we need a refund for fee paid and services not rendered. I’m so incredibly disappointed .
