I have had two laser ablation procedures over the past two years with Dr. Smith as well as various injections. The office is busy but he always made time to discuss my diagnosis with all recommendations. I am sorry to learn that he will be leaving this practice. I would highly recommend.

I have had epidural and RFA which helped and I was out of pain 2 yr. Today I had injection in my neck post cervical spine so fingers crossed it will work. Bibana my nurse was very reassuring and nice, in comparison to others I have had. Dr Smith does not encourage injections he want you to do things to help better your overall health.

I suffered with chronic post surgical rib/chest and lower back pain. I had cardiac surgery, granted it saved my life but the recovery has been nothing but awful...until I met with Dr. Smith. The first visit I had with him I felt I was on the way to getting my life back. Dr. Smith followed protocol but has the attitude about medicine what ever makes you able to continue to remain healthy DO IT. He and his team performed a bilateral ablation to T-7 8 & 9. The procedure went pain free and honestly I felt improvement the next day. Dr. Smith not only is a great pain management doctor he's a caring person. I trust and highly recommend him to anyone who needs help.

I had severe back pain from a fall. Dr smith performed an ablation on my spine. It made the pain so sever I wanted to die. His office ignored my calls for a week. I went to my general practitioner who was upset and called their pain clinic on my behalf. They told me I was a drug seeker. I had never taken pain pills before meeting them. I was humiliated & devastated . Evil people. I would never recommend them to anyone ever. I was lucky I found a new compassionate dr. He is a terrible surgeon.

Dr. Smith does not believe in any type of prescription pain management or injections. He treated me during my consultation as if I was seeking opiates after being treated for chronic pain since I was in a severe motor vehicle accident that shattered my spine in 2006. He has no understanding or compassion for people with chronic pain. Do not waste your time! He is not very knowledgeable about chronic pain and treatment plans outside of chiropractic adjustments and anti-inflammatory diets. I cannot have adjustment to my spine due to hardware in it from neurosurgeries and I have a great diet. He also recommended NSAID’s which I cannot take since they cause stomach bleeding for me. Clearly he did not read my chart!

I have had low back pain for about 2 years. I received an epidural from Dr. Smith and literally was free of pain within minutes . The procedure wad quick and painless. It is a life changer for me. Dr. Smith is easy to talk to and Obviously on top of his profession.

My husband had an bi-lateral ablation in March 2020 by Dr. Smith. My husband has suffered a tremendous amount of pain right after this procedure. When my husband returned to Dr. Smith, he suggested that there was nothing wrong with the procedure that he preformed and suggested that he should go to a hip doctor. After seeing the hip doctor, which reviled that there was nothing wrong with his hips. In addition, Dr. Smith suggested that my husband should see a spinal surgeon. We passed on that idea, then went to see two neurologist at UCLA that ordered an MRI. It turns out that Dr. Smith fried my husbands nerves by going in too deep causing him so much pain that he can barely walk today. SO THINK before you see this man, he does not have the right to treat patients. I am only putting a star because this post will not be shared without selecting at least one star, if there was a negative number I would have selected that selected one.

This is the worst doctor I have ever been to. Went to see him due to extreme lower back and neck pain. I told him that I normally have pain and I got used to normal pain, but this time it was unbearable. Based on an MRI of 3 1/2 years ago he said I did not have anything. I just needed to exercise, meditate and watch my posture. What do I do for the unbearable pain? Just continue taking Ibuprofein… He could not care less and when I spoke to the office manager he told her that I had said that all I wanted was an injection, no pain medicine or anything. LIAR! I am beyond disappointed. How can someone like this call himself a doctor? Especially a pain management doctor? I left the office with worse pain and crying... horrible experience, do not waste your time.
