I am a gentleman that has always spoken about any rights and wrongs I have endured throughout my life and I act upon them. For good or bad!
I was sadly referred to this “ Dr” about 4-6 weeks ago.
In My first live meeting, the said Dr yawned at least 4 times whilst being talked to. You serious
In the Second virtual meeting, I discussed the medications he prescribed to me, as I have recently been advised I have adult ADHD.and how they were not really working for me.
I get to my pharmacy, and the pharmacist tells me the Dr had prescribed a drug for patients that have Bipolar and I believe Seizures. I HAVE NEITHER. The Dr claimed that when I spoke to him, he felt I was suffering from these conditions. As I told him when I phoned him up that evening I have NEVER suffered these conditions. He said I spoke words in conversation that I suggested I did. YOU F…G kidding ME OUTRAGEOUS!
If that wasn’t enough, the Dr sent a new prescription to keep me more focused and to concentrate, to my pharmacy. When I went to pick it up, the pharmacist said” he has given this drug many many times to patients BUT their corresponding Dr’s have always prescribed this drug to be taken in the morning! as it obviously stimulates the brain, so why would a Dr prescribe it at night I may be wrong about this but I and my pharmacist do not think so!
Dr kunam prescribed it to me to be taken at NIGHT!
Thank God I have an alert, wonderfully smart pharmacist !
Dr Sunam Kunam I’m afraid should retire gracefully. Be aware, very aware and Google every drug about what it’s for and more so side effects!

Dr Kunam has been my sister’s psychiatrist for several years. Both dr Kunam and his staff have been wonderful to us . He has gone beyond the call of duty in helping my sister. He is a very kind and caring person.

The staff is so unorganized and I thought I was the one with ADHD. You have to keep calling them to see if they are doing their job. I have had it with them I mean seriously I have been the one contacting my insurance and doing most of there job. If you don’t call them to remind them they won’t do it. Also I was prescribed the wrong medicine. I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance denied it and wants an appeal. So obviously I can’t expect them to handle such a big task. I only came here because my usual dr. Is not taking any new patients. I haven’t seen him in a year so I’m considered “new”. I will be calling him today to beg him to take me back. That’s how bad it is here. I mean the doctor was cool but I specifically told him the medication that has worked for me. He even asked me and assured me I was going to get the medicine I Normally get. I didn’t so there’s that. I never leave reviews especially negative ones. I hope you guys get office staff members that do there job. Or at least use this comment as constructive criticism.

My child saw this Dr for years only because it’s very hard to find another psychiatrist that sees children with our insurance.
This Dr is rude, will be completely ignoring you for the first 15 mins you enter his office on his phone.
He does not even remember what medication he gives his patients or doesn’t log it or care to look. Seems he sees way too many patients to pay any attention to any of them.
He doesn’t take parents input at times, only listening to the mentally ill patient (child).
So many med changes, nothing works long term.
Really unhappy with this Dr and his very rude office staff. Only decent person in the office is named Joshua.
I would definitely not recommend.

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Kunam for more than a year or so. During our meetings — of which I am baffled as to how this is a paid service through my insurance — he would hardly look away from the computer screen, making those paid sessions seemingly impersonal. Also, he once prescribed me a medication that did not pertain to my health conditions, thus, affecting my medical history. More importantly, despite having years of history between him and I and also having a similar prescription throughout, he denied a request for my prescription refill unless seen in person — even though I live hours away for school and have no personal transportation. I hope this review can help someone make a wise decision in choosing doctors by not choosing Dr. Kunam and furthering his career as a “psychiatrist” who deals with one’s health in a matter of redundant numbers and data input.

Dr Kunum is by far the best psychiatrist we have EVER seen (in three different states). My family has been seeing him for 15 years. We have tried other psychiatrists, but Dr. K really knows his stuff!
The Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga locations of IPMG are wonderful. Corona is ok. MoVly not so much (most of the doctors are nice but we just couldn’t make headway there)
Medicaid psychiatrists were awful. We were sooooo glad to come back when we got private insurance again. We drive an hour each way to see him and it is worth it.
The only other psychiatrist that might be as good is actually his niece in the Rancho office. He is not accepting new patients, but she is. Thank you Dr. K!!!

Dr. Kunam has been crucial in allowing me to live a productive and stable life in spite of Bipolar Disorder. He put me on the meds that have allowed me to do so. I have been able to use his wise sayings to help a younger woman learn to cope with this disease. He has been a real answer to prayer for me and that woman. Stephanie Wilson.
