This was my first time coming here. Very easy to find, right off the 805 freeway. I noticed how they had some watermelons, oranges and mangos nicely displayed in the front of the store great marketing so when people are walking or driving by it’s makes you want to stop in so that’s exactly how they got my attention. The downfall I wasn’t greeted when I walked inside the store i had to initiate the conversation by asking what the price was on an item that had no pricing posted. The staff only seem to speak unless you say something first and that’s not good at all. Even tho they had lots of fresh looking fruit there were just as many bad looking fruit too. I am not really satisfied with the pricing here especially with not so good looking fruit you should mark it down in price. This is not a place I would recommend to my friends and family and i don’t think I’ll be coming back not worth the drive thank goodness I was in the area. Please provide better customers service when people walk into your store 1st impressions means everything.

We've lived in this area for over 4 years and had driven past this place at least once a week.

A few weeks ago it just so happened that we saw a California Produce post on Facebook for jackfruit at $0.50 a pound.

WE WENT THERE THE NEXT DAY

They are very helpful and the fresh produce quality is great, so much so that we include them in our grocery shopping every week.

Grocery produce that we used to get from places nearby we now purchase from California Produce and we haven't been disappointed.

BE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT

1-9-2024 update:

These thieves always "accidently" overcharge my family.

In the latest incident the Filipina cashier charged us $4 for two large avocados instead of $2 for two small green avocados.

Maybe you think overcharging $2 isn't that much but we paid $9 for 2 bags of cilantro, oranges, avocados, and more fruits and vegetables; that's an extra charge of more than 20%!

I advise you to watch the cashier and what they charge you like a hawk so they don't, "overcharge you accidently" like they have done to my family on 3 separate visits.
---
In response to the owner:

It's curious how her multiple "mistakes" were mistakes that charge the customer more money every time. I'm not foolish enough to call those separate 3 incidents, "coincidences" rather than "mistakes."

Great prices on produce.

Great selection.

Exotic Asian fruits like dragon fruit, star fruit, Jack fruit and mangosteen. Bitter melon, mini bananas (the sweet ones).

Be careful about them overcharging.

I bought a bag of mangosteen this last week for $16 and the cashier "accidently" charged me for 2 bags. I think she did it on purpose so keep an eye on what they charge you.

Stopped in last week. Fruits and vegetables were not fresh looking. Apples were starting to wrinkle! Prices weren't great. I did buy some bananas and potatoes. Cashier only spoke to tell me total. One couple came in to look around and left.
This place used to have great fresh produce and good prices. I won't go back!

It’s not the produce that’s bad, it’s the deceptive pricing and scales. Scales for weighing out in produce section are so far off, you end up paying more than you expected. Also list a price on items, then when you have it rang up, it can be anywhere from .25- .50 more a pound. When you bring it to there attention, they make excuses. Too bad, because they do have some interesting items, just can’t put up with cheating scales and bait and switch.

Good diversity of fruits, good/ok price, but questionable quality. The 6 pamelos I got all were not fresh. I ate a few pieces and got stomach pain. Tangerine I got were mostly dry and not sweet. Orange was great—sweet and juicy.
